Stephen Fine

I'm Stephen "Dr. Steve" Fine. As a camp director and curriculum specialist, I design experiential programs for young people to benefit their physical health and also promote healthy personal and social growth. I have a Ph.D. from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto and I also hold a graduate degree in Environmental Studies.

My goal is to ensure that The Hollows Camp is a place of friendship and learning where fun and memorable adventures take place close to nature.

Janet Fine

I'm Janet Fine. Stephen and I founded The Hollows Camp in 1981. I am a graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in England and I earned my A.R.C.T. from the Royal Conservatory in Toronto.

Our campers come from around the world and around the corner. Only sixty campers attend in any given session and this gives camp the feeling of a true community. Stephen and I participate fully in the everyday activities. We get to know all of the campers personally and can thereby help them to achieve their goals while better understanding their characteristics as individuals.

The Hollows Camp is a large property with lakes, forests, meadows, and diverse wildlife. It allows campers the freedom to explore a physical space no longer readily accessible to many young people growing up in today's urban or planned communities.

Veronica Fine

I'm Veronica Fine, Staff Trainer and Special Events Programmer. I have a BA in Law and Ethics from the University of Toronto and a lifetime of experience at The Hollows Camp.

In 2009 I was awarded the Ontario Camps Association’s prestigious Ron and Mickey Johnstone award for youth leadership.

I have visited many countries and camps around the world and have even lived in Italy with one of our Italian camper families.

I am an avid runner and competed in both the Toronto and Sydney marathons. As a staff trainer I strive to be a positive role model by emphasizing the benefits of physical activity and healthy eating to the young people in our programs.
