THE HOLLOWS CAMP
for Boys and Girls

Travel Program for August 2009 - Mongolian Adventure!

Join us for an unforgettable adventure in the land of Genghis Khan. We’ve been there and can assure you that you’ll have the trip of a lifetime!

Mongolia is a vast and diverse land of unprecedented natural beauty with a population of only 3 million people. Ride horses across the steppes, trek a mountain path to an 19th century Buddhist monastery, visit dinosaur sites in the Gobi Desert, ride camels across the dunes, spend a few nights in a comfortable traditional “ger” dwelling. You will also experience Mongolian cultural, ancient and modern in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar.

Our home base will be the renowned International Children’s Centre “Nairamdal” located forty-five minutes outside of Ulaanbaatar in the woodlands of the Khentii Mountains. Here we will join in with international campers and staff for some dynamic Mongolian-style camp events before setting out on our exciting excursions.

Highlights of the trip:

One night in Seoul, South Korea before departing for Mongolia.

Stay at the IIC Nairamdal www.nairamdal.mn and participate in camping/cultural events and horseback riding.

Riding and/or hiking in Terji National Park with a visit to the Aryapala high mountain monastery and the massive monument to Genghis Khan.

Sleep over in Gers.

Flight to South Gobi Desert and visit to the famous Flaming Cliffs, dinosaur sites, and sand dunes.

Best way to travel? On a camel of course!

Cultural excursion in capital city of Ulaanbaatar.
